Mary's tips for anyone trying to get into shape:

Think positively about your body - visualize how you want to be, and then act as if you are already there. Second, one of the best tips I received from Tiffany is to wear a heart rate monitor while doing cardio - it keeps you focused and you won't waste time in the gym thinking you're burning fat, when in reality you may not be if you are not. Third, hire a personal trainer, at least in the beginning. You'll be accountable, not only to yourself, but to someone else, and they can show you how to train more effectively. Lastly, set a lofty goal for yourself, and really work hard to meet it!
