Healthy Alternatives/ Recipes for "Couch Potatoes"

Instead of store bought or traditional "Hot Wings" with Bue cheese Dressing, try this healthy delicious recipe:

Healthy Chicken "Wings"

Prep time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

2.5lbs. of "Tyson" Frozen Chicken Strips (already cooked- .5 grams fat, 20 grams protein)
or Chicken Tenders (only about 2-3 oz. in size)

1 cup "Red Hot" Ready made Wing Sauce or "Red Hot" Original sauce

Optional: 1/3 cup melted Smart Balance Butter (made with flax)

1 staulk of celery

1/2 cup Wishbone or any Lite, Low Fat Blue cheese dressing

1) Follow instructions on "Tyson" package to prepare the chicken strips (microwave or stove top- ony 4-6 minutes)

OR Bake the Chicken Tenders on a flat pan uncovered for 25 minutes. Cut each chicken tender into 3-4 slices and option to brown each side in frying pan with Pam or cooking spray)

2) Heat up the "Red Hot" ready-to-use Hot wing sauce in the microwave in a large bowl or on the stove until hot. Add in the cooked chicken strips or sliced chicken tenders. (The sauce will stick better to the chicken strips if you use the stove top option OR after microwaving, slightly brown the chicken strips using Pam or cooking spray)

OR Melt the Smart Balance Butter in a small pot on the stove at low temperature. Add in the "Red Hot" Original sauce and stir until it's well blended. Pour the cooked chicken strips or sliced chicken tenders into the pot of sauce and stir until all the strips are covered with sauce. Pour the chicken onto your serving plate. Pour the remaining sauce over the chicken.

* Serve with Lite Blue cheese dressing and celery.
